3d Tomography: Computerized Modeling of 2d Scaned Images. Results. Advantages
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper describes a valuable medical investigation method based on computed tomography. It’s about a modern solution for 3D modeling by using 2D descriptions of the considered organ or body. The 3D model will be generated based on data sets obtained by scanning the 2D image. The method is used to rebuild the anatomic organ, but it could be also used to virtually dissect the respective organ, in order to present images from different depth levels.

Speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion for 3D ultrasound images.
This paper presents an approach for reducing speckle in three dimensional (3D) ultrasound images. A 2D speckle reduction technique, speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion (SRAD), is explored and extended to 3D. 3D SRAD is advantageous in that, like 2D SRAD, it keeps the advantages of the conventional anisotropic diffusion and the traditional speckle reducing filter, the Lee filter, by exploitin...
متن کاملComparison between Needle Biopsy under Guide of Conventional Computerized Tomography (CCT) and Fluoroscopic Computerized Tomography (FCT) in Abdominal, Mediastinal, Lung, Pelvic, Bone, and Liver Masses
Background and Objective: Computerized tomography and fluoroscopic computerized tomography are amongst the methods used for guiding needle biopsy processes; however, fluoroscopic computerized tomography demonstrates the images during the process of biopsy. This study aims to compare and contrast the success of biopsy under guide...
متن کاملMagnetic Resonance Imaging Fusion by 3D Compactly Supported Shearlet Transform
T2* and quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images provide different type inner structure information of scanned organs. If they can be properly fused into one set, the details of the scaned organ can be revealed more clearly. In this paper, a 3D MRI image fusion method based on 3D compactly supported shearlet transform (3D-CSST) and 3D dual tree compac...
متن کامل2D and 3D finite element analysis of central incisor generated by computerized tomography
The purpose of this study was to compare the results of different hierarchical models in engineering analysis applied to dentistry with 2D and 3D models of a tooth and its supporting structures under 100 N occlusal loading at 45° and examine the reliability of simplified 2D models in dental research. Five models were built from computed-tomography scans: four 2D models with Plane Strain and Pla...
متن کاملPharyngeal Airway: An Analysis Using 2D vs. 3D Images in Different Malocclusions
Introdouction: The aim of this study was to compare information regarding pharyngeal airway sizes in adolescent subjects with different malocclusion classes obtained from lateral cephalograms and 3–dimensional (3D) cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans. Materials and methods: In this prospective cross-sectional study, CBCT scans and lateral cephalograms of 35 subjects, taken with...
